Pakistan Calls for Gaza Ceasefire, Criticizes New Attacks

March 21, 2025, The restarting of Israel’s deadly bombing of Gaza and the cruel murder of the Palestinians have received harsh criticism from Pakistan, On the Gaza Ceasefire the country has thought it insufficient to exchange hostages for that.

Pakistan’s Stand on the Gaza Ceasefire

The government of Pakistan has stressed its commitment to the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2735 which decided on a ceasefire in Gaza. The Pakistani Mission called, we can’t wait until the Security Resolution 2735 ceasefire is fully implemented, and this would be the only way to free hostages.

Referring to the recent Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, the Foreign Office of Pakistan made a strong statement convicting the illegal attacks as a violation of international law aside from the oppression of human rights. The Foreign Office expressed great concern over the increased violence and asked the international community to step in and stop the aggression.

The ceasefire, which was first announced in January, was interrupted when the Israeli forces launched massive airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025. It was reported that around 400 Palestinians, including children, were killed. The Israeli officials also confirmed that the airstrikes were a response to Hamas claims that they have hostages who are not being released even though there are ongoing conferences.

The global community is not only surprised but they are also afraid of the new growth. The UN Office reported that one international staff member died while five others got injured in a blast in Gaza. The non-profit organizations are concerned about the bad conditions in the areas, and they stress the need for urgent support and the protection of civilians.

The Pakistani government pursues its efforts of dialoguing with key international fellow beings in order to keep advocating for peace while at the same time calling on all sides to maintaining the ceasefire and looking for dialogue to make the whole area more stable in the long run.
