GOOD NEWS! Pakistanis Can Now Apply for UAE 5 Years Visa | Ambassador Confirms

Karachi, April 8, 2025 – Good news for Pakistani of 5 years UAE visa, The UAE has given five-year multiple-entry visas to Pakistanis, said Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Pakistan. He told this to Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori at the Governor House in Karachi.

Pakistani Now Avail 5 years UAE Visa Opportunity

The five-year tourist visa lets holders visit the UAE many times without needing a local sponsor. Ambassador Al-Zaabi said, “We have sorted out visa issues; Pakistanis can now get five-year visas.” The ambassador invited Governor Tessori to visit the UAE consulate’s visa center. Governor Tessori thanked the UAE for its investment in Karachi and was praised for ongoing projects. The five-year multiple-entry visitor visa allows the holders to travel to the UAE several times starting from the date of issue without a guarantor or sponsor in the country.

The UAE had previously tightened checks on Pakistani travelers due to fears of illegal activities, such as begging. In December, it was revealed that all Pakistani travelers needed a security check and police clearance in the UAE.

In January, the Senate committee stated that there were no official restrictions on work visas. But visas were “unofficialy closed” due to worries about begging by some Pakistani visitors.

Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Alremeithi, who last November was the UAE’s Consul General in Karachi, blamed it on social media platforms when asked about the continuous rejection of visas from Pakistan. He added that there were mentions of some of the Pakistani social media influencers in the UAE who were on TikTok, especially triggering the implementation of stricter visa rules. However, he made it clear that a complete ban on visas for Pakistanis to UAE was not there.

These visa issues being resolved are a big plus for the UAE-Pakistan relations paving the way for easier travels for Pakistanis to the UAE.
