Sujawal: A public holiday has been announced in Sujawal district, Sindh. All government and semi-government offices, schools, colleges, and municipal institutions will remain closed.
According to details, the district administration of Sujawal has declared a general holiday on Tuesday, August 12, to mark the annual Urs of the great Sufi saint Shah Inayat Shaheed.
In a notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Zahid Hussain, it was stated that all government and semi-government offices, schools, colleges, and municipal institutions will remain closed for the day.
Provincial Minister for Zakat, Ushr, Auqaf, and Religious Affairs Syed Riaz Hussain Shah Shirazi will officially open the Urs celebrations.
The three-day events at the shrine of Shah Inayat will include religious and cultural programs, such as spiritual gatherings, Sufi music, and poetry sessions.
A large number of visitors and devotees from across the province are expected to attend. Shah Inayat Shaheed is remembered as a spiritual leader, poet, and a champion of social justice, whose message of love, equality, and compassion continues to inspire people even today.
The district administration has completed all security and other arrangements to ensure visitors are provided with facilities and that peace and order are maintained during the Urs.
