In preparation for Eid ul Fitr in 2025, the government of Pakistan has announced early payment of salaries before Eid and pensions for government employees. This step has been initiated to help public servants manage their finances easily during Eid. Several provincial governments have also issued notifications confirming the decisions made by higher authorities.

Salaries Before Eid:Government’s Efforts to Ease Financial Burdens

The provincial Sindh government has stated that all employees across the province will be paid their salaries and pensions on the set date of March 21st, 2025. Orders have been made by Sindh’s Finance department to prioritize the payments so that employees can adequately prepare for the Eid festivities.

Along similar lines, the government of the Punjab region has made the same payments called Payments A and B for his and her salaries and pensions on March 26th, 2025. This was ordered by the provincial finance department in a bid to allow government workers to meet their financial necessities before the Eid celebrations begin. Employees, having been overjoyed with the financially supportive decision, are now relieved that they can fulfill their responsibilities before the festivities.

The KP government has also confirmed payments for everyone’s salaries and pensions on March 20th, 2025. This will prove beneficial for thousands of the locals from this particular province, as they will now receive their funds prior to the set date of Eid, which is estimated to be March 31st of 2025.

The appreciation and relief amongst government employees is palpable as this initiative allows them to plan their shopping, travel, and other expenses well in advance. Analysts believe local businesses will benefit during the holiday season due to an increase in consumer spending as a result of early salary release. 

This decision certainly shows the government’s dedication towards the wellbeing of the public, employees, and ensuring they finance Eid celebrations with utmost ease.
