Iran has canceled its nuclear talks with the United States that were to be held in Muscat. This happened after a serious warning from US President Donald Trump. He said that if Iran attacks the US in any way, America will hit back with full military power.
Iran quickly replied. Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, shared a video message from his office. In the message, he warned that if anyone does something cruel to Iran, they will get a strong and fair answer. He said, “The attacker’s life will become hard,” showing how serious Iran is.
In the same video, Khamenei directly addressed Israel. He said that Israel, which he called the Zionist regime, will be punished for its actions. He said, “Israel won’t escape punishment.” Khamenei made it clear that Iran never starts a war but will defend itself with full strength if forced to.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also gave a strong statement. He said that an attack on Iran couldn’t happen without America’s support. So, he said, talking with the US is now useless. “There is no reason to continue talks with the main backer of the attacker,” he added.
As reported by AFP, Araghchi also said that the recent attack by Israel was clearly meant to stop the nuclear talks between Iran and the US. He told foreign diplomats that Israel doesn’t want any kind of nuclear deal or peaceful solution. He called the attack “an attempt to destroy diplomacy and stop negotiations.”
On the same day, President Trump gave another bold warning. He told Iran that if America is attacked in any way no matter how small the full power of the US Armed Forces will strike back harder than ever before. His words were very strong and clear.
Trump also said that the US had no part in the recent Israeli strikes on Iran. Those strikes hit Iran’s nuclear and intelligence sites. Trump denied any US involvement in them, as reported by 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Still, Trump ended his speech by saying that peace was still possible. He said, “We can easily make a deal between Iran and Israel and stop this bloody conflict.” So, even after all the threats, he still left a door open for peace.
On the other hand, Iran has also given a major warning. If sanctions are placed on them again, Iran may leave the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). This is a very serious step, and it could make nuclear peace talks much harder.
Iran’s representative at the United Nations has sent a formal letter to the UN Security Council. In that letter, he blamed Britain, France, and Germany for making false claims against Iran. He also warned that if these countries bring back the sanctions, Iran will leave the NPT. This move could make the situation in the region even more dangerous and unstable.
