KARACHI -The National Savings Centre will hold the quarterly Draw of Rs 1500 prize bond today the May 2025. Prize bonds in Pakistan have been identified to offer an extremely popular investment and saving avenue offered by the government through the National Savings Division.

They present great opportunities to win cash prizes risk-free of the principal amount. Available in different denominations, prize bonds can be issued from the designated banks, and they form part of routine draws conducted by the State Bank of Pakistan. Unlike interest investing, prize bonds are a Shariah-compliant instrument that serves a large customer base.

1500 Prize Bond Winning Amount

The first prize winner will take the grand prize of Rs3 million, there are three second prize winners each going for Rs1 million.

1,696 other third prizes also exist; each winner wins Rs18,500.

1500 prize bond Tax Deduction 2025

The rate of tax according to the government’s policy is 15 percent of prize value for filers and is 35 percent of prize value for non-filers.

1500 Prize Bond Tax for Filers

In the policy, the first prize winner, if filing, will incur a tax of Rs450,000 on the prize money. It is that the winner will walk away with Rs 2,550000 from the total winnings of Rs 3,000000, payslips.

On the same point, the second prize winners will part with Rs150000 in the form of a wake of tax waiver, and they will walk home with Rs850000 out of that Rs1000000.

Third prize winners will pay Rs2,775 in the wake of tax, with the winning amount in total being Rs15,725 for each winner.

1500 Prize Bond Tax for Non-Filers

The non-filer winner of the first prize will also be paying Rs1,050,000 instead of tax on the winning amount of Rs3,000,000. At tax deduction, the winning amount after the tax deduction will be Rs 1,950,000.
