5 Strict New Traffic Laws: Arrest Without Challan Begins!

Lahore has taken important steps to stop reckless driving and decrease accidents on the roads. The Lahore Traffic Police has been brave in its decision not to give out challans for gravely violated traffic rules anymore. Now, those who break the law will be arrested right away or face an FIR.
Using this approach is one effort toward making sure roads are safe and well-maintained. According to the statement, tickets were ineffective because many drivers refused to obey and kept breaking the rules.
Direct legal actions will now be taken when someone commits one of the following five violations:

  1. Driving in the Opposite Direction: Dozens have been arrested for wrong-way driving, a leading reason for accidents and crowded roads.
  2. Overloaded rickshaws and many other vehicles with blocked rear view put lives at risk. They are being carefully watched over these days.
  3. A special concern is unregistered two-wheelers and carts that tend to drive without anyone noticing.
  4. Authorities are considering laws that will make parents guilty if their teens drive underage.
  5. If someone is caught driving carelessly, too fast, or overtaking dangerously, an FIR will be issued straight away. Now, each offense is recorded digitally in addition to any other information. An FIR filing remains in the driver’s record, and it may prevent them from getting government jobs as a result.
Thanks to this rule, every driver gets the message that there is no choice but to follow the traffic laws. Officials are stressing strict law enforcement to promote safety on Lahore’s roads.
