Monsoon rains have started destroying the country. In the last 24 hours, 37 more people have lost their lives, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Wednesday.
According to details, heavy monsoon showers have caused serious damage. In Punjab, 30 people died and 44 were injured in different incidents. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 7 people have also lost their lives.
In Pakpattan, Pasrur, and Okara, streets started looking like rivers due to the heavy rain. In Chichawatni, Chok Azam, Arifwala, and Jaranwala, water has filled the streets and neighborhoods. In the Koh-e-Suleman mountain range, heavy rain caused flooding in streams in Rajanpur. Thousands of acres of land are now under water. Floods also hit Rojhan, and the river Indus overflowed, completely drowning the Kacha area.
In Punjab, big and small cities were flooded because of strong rains. Okara received 172 millimeters of rain, and even after 33 hours, the roads still look like rivers. Markets have been closed for two days. In nearby areas, two people got injured after a roof collapsed. In Sahiwal, the city and neighborhoods turned into streams, and even rescue vehicles got stuck in the water.
In Bahawalnagar, roads and streets have been flooded for three days because of continuous rain. The sewerage system, which was built two years ago, completely failed. In Pakpattan, a child died and two people were injured when a roof collapsed. In Haroonabad, two people were injured when a wall fell in a nearby area.
In Pasrur, the roof of a mud house collapsed, injuring three sisters who were trapped under the debris. In Chichawatni, low-lying areas and roads were filled with water. In Chok Azam, water gathered in streets and on roads. In Arifwala, the grain market was completely under water. On College Road in Jaranwala, water also collected. In a nearby area, a house roof collapsed, killing a woman and injuring six other people.
