Lahore (August 2, 2025): Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has arrived in Pakistan for a two-day official visit.
According to details, President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian began his visit from the city of Lahore, where he will visit the tomb of the famous poet Allama Iqbal.
After spending some time in Lahore, the Iranian President will travel to Islamabad. It is worth noting that the Foreign Office had earlier shared that President Pezeshkian is coming to Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Before leaving for Pakistan, President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke to the media. He said that during his visit, important topics like border security and regional peace will be discussed.
He also mentioned that border markets and better connections between the two countries can open new doors for cooperation. He showed interest in joining the China-Pakistan One Belt One Road project, which could help connect Iran to Europe.
President Pezeshkian said he hopes the trade between Pakistan and Iran will grow up to 10 billion dollars. He also added that any attempts to harm the unity between Pakistan and Iran will not succeed.
