On June 05, 2025, millions of Muslims will gather in Arafat for Waqf-e-Arafat, the main event of Hajj 2025. This holy day has excited Pakistanis and pilgrims worldwide.
Waqf-e-Arafat is the heart of Hajj. Pilgrims spend the day praying and reflecting in Arafat’s plains. It happens on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah. For many, it’s the most spiritual moment of Hajj. Thousands of Pakistanis join over a million pilgrims for this sacred day. After staying in Mina’s tents, they move to Arafat after Fajr prayer.
At Masjid Nimra, they hear the Hajj sermon and pray to Zuhr and Asr together. When the sun sets, they head to Muzdalifah to spend the night under the stars. This day tests their faith and strength.
Saudi Arabia’s Preparations
Saudi Arabia is ready for Waqf-e-Arafat. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has set up Masjid Nimra and the Arafat plains. The mosque has soft carpets across 125,000 square meters for comfort. To keep pilgrims cool, 117 mist-spraying fans lower the heat by about 9°C. These steps create a calm space for worship. The sermon will be translated into Urdu and other languages for all pilgrims.
After Waqf-e-Arafat, pilgrims go to Muzdalifah at sunset. They collect pebbles there for the stoning ritual in Mina. The next day, they perform the stoning and offer sacrifices. These steps wrap up the Hajj for many. It’s a tough but rewarding journey.
For Pakistani pilgrims, this day is about faith and unity. Thousands are in Arafat, praying for their loved ones and country. It’s a proud moment for Pakistan.
