Monsoon Rains Cause Massive Destruction in India, 106 Dead

Monsoon rains have created havoc in Himachal Pradesh, India, where 106 people have lost their lives so far due to heavy downpours, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Wednesday.

According to Indian media, the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) said that monsoon rains have been continuing since June 20, which has caused a severe flood-like situation in the state.

The SDMA reported that from June 20 to July 15, a total of 106 people have died. Among them, 62 deaths were caused by landslides, floods, cloudbursts, drowning, and electric shocks, while 44 people lost their lives in road accidents during the same period.

Reports also stated that besides the loss of human lives, there has been major destruction of property and infrastructure. According to the report, more than 293 concrete houses and 91 mud houses have completely collapsed.

In addition, around 850 acres of agricultural land have been affected, and government property worth more than 810 million Indian Rupees has been damaged. This includes roads, water supply systems, electricity infrastructure, and buildings related to health and education.

Officials from the Disaster Management Authority in Himachal Pradesh have warned people in different areas to stay alert as more rains are expected. They also advised the public to follow safety instructions to avoid further loss.
