April 23, 2025 – Islamabad: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has officially decided and permitted the two new international airports of Sukkur and Muzaffarabad, with the sole purpose of upgrading regional connectivity and encouraging flight infrastructure in the country.
Plan To Construct Two New Airports
The PAA has formed a dedicated committee to be in charge of leading the land purchase procedure of both projects. The preliminary activities in held and start with the supervision of PAA’s Works and Development Department. To the international level’s satisfaction, the person, as well as the field experts, will be consulted for their experience.
Investment equivalent to billions of rupees and the internationally qualified teams are predicted to be the developers of the new Sukkur International Airport and Muzaffarabad International Airport, and the construction is to be finished in five years.
As a result of these two multi-billion-dollar worthwhile ventures, one can see that connectivity will increase and the time spent in the transport sector will decrease. This will be especially the case with the Sindh and Azad Jammu and Kashmir regions.
Moreover, the strategy of maintaining the aviation sector modern and the creation of conventional boarding points are two of the efforts of Pakistan in enhancing access of inhabitants to the remote parts of the country. Through the establishment of new international air entry points, the state, and above all, the government, aims to provide economic energy, tourism, and trade in these regions.
The work will progress, and the PAA and all the required parties will ensure they inform the community of the various stages of the projects, maintain transparency, and thereby emerge as the leadership of the public. Once these airports are completed, Pakistan will not only have built a better infrastructure for transport but also will have a more combined region.
