PTA Block 16 Youtube Channel and multiple website over Pakistan and India Conflict

By blocking 16 YouTube news channels, 31 YouTube video links, and 32 websites, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has taken significant action against the extent of anti-Pakistan publicity.

Those who are spreading false and negative storylines against the country, this action was made to give punishment to them for their content, there major goal is goal to harm the nation, said by PTA.

This decision was taken for national security, also for the protection of Pakistan’s digital platforms, as stated by the PTA. From YouTube and websites, block content was found to comprise misleading and damaging accounts that are mainly designed to damage national unity and affect public belief.

PTA made this decision after India attacked Pakistan last night at several locations like Kotli, Muzaffarabad, Ahmedpur Sharqia Bagh, and Muridke. The “cowardly” act will not go unpunished, said DG ISPR.

The Pakistani Air Force was quick in action,said by Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, initiating its defense systems and avoiding any Indian aircraft from powerful Pakistani airspace.

In a rapid and definite response to India’s “cowardly” missile attack, Pakistan’s military shot down five Indian aircraft and demolished an Indian group headquarters.

Under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), PTA blocked a total of over 1.4 million sites for illegal activities, Back in December 2024. PTA blocked 109771 sites in 2023- 24, according to the official report.

In one year, 33634 sites were blocked citing protection and safety threats, while 268 offensive sites were suspended during the same period. Moreover, 55,723 dishonorable sites and 3618 sites were blocked under collective or hate speech threats.

During the last fiscal year, PTA said 13,422 sites were blocked for stirring religious hatred, and 1,058 sites related were deferred for aggressive content. And 2,428 sites were blocked for other prohibited activities in one year.
