Rawalpindi (August 2, 2025): The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who is currently in Adiala Jail, was allowed to talk to his sons Qasim and Suleman over the phone.
The Toshakhana 2 case hearing took place at Adiala Jail, led by Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand. After the court postponed the hearing till August 6, Imran Khan was given a chance to speak with his sons.
During the hearing, Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were brought to the courtroom. A key witness, NAB officer Aftab Ahmed, gave his statement during the session.
Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Arshad Tabraiz, completed his cross-questioning of the witness. Imran Khan’s lawyer, Qausain Mufti, will ask his questions at the next hearing.
The court has also summoned two more witnesses, Rabia and Sana, for the next session.
It is worth mentioning that in July 2024, Imran Khan had filed a request asking to speak to his sons, which was heard by ATC Rawalpindi Judge Malik Ejaz Asif. The court had sent a notice to the jail authorities.
The Anti-Terrorism Court had ordered jail officials to respond by July 3. Later, the court approved the request and allowed the PTI founder to talk to his sons on the phone.
