Islamabad: Federal Minister Shaza Fatima has shared exciting news for all citizens under the “Smartphone for Everyone” policy, saying that smartphones will now be available on easy installments.
According to the details, Federal Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima announced that the government is preparing a policy to provide mobile phones to the public in easy monthly installments. The aim is to make sure every person can be part of the digital world.
While speaking at a ceremony at the Pak-China Friendship Centre, she said that these steps are part of the government’s vision to promote skills and education through modern technology. Affordable smartphones will help increase digital access, which is an important tool for inclusive learning.
The Minister said that connecting youth, students, and women with science and technology is the need of the hour. The government is working to provide opportunities for young people in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Shaza Fatima also talked about digital training programs and mentioned that under the DigiSkills program, 100,000 young people were trained in just one year. This year, the government has set a target to train one million students in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
She further said that all public places have been made safe for women so they can play an important role in the country’s national development.
