Islamabad’s local court has sent Umar Hayat, the accused in the TikToker Sana Yousuf murder case, to jail on judicial remand, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Monday.
The police brought Umar Hayat to the court of Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Hafeez after completing his three-day physical remand. He had been arrested for allegedly killing TikToker Sana Yousuf.
During the court hearing, the prosecution did not request any further physical remand of the accused. So, the court ordered that Umar Hayat be sent to jail on judicial remand.
During the hearing, Umar Hayat’s lawyers said that due to the media hype around this case, the accused is not being allowed to meet his parents, which is his legal and human right.
The court responded that now since the accused has been sent to jail, his family can contact jail authorities for visitation permission.
