In China, a company has set a strange condition for giving bonuses, employees must run to earn it, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Wednesday.
The company came up with an unusual and interesting idea to link annual bonuses with physical fitness and daily exercise habits.
Guangdong Poo Paper Company, located in Guangdong province, has recently introduced a new rule. Instead of the usual performance-based bonus system, they now give bonuses based only on physical fitness.
The company’s chairman, Lin Zhiyong, is very passionate about fitness. He wants health and fitness to become a part of the entire company. Employees now need to focus on their health if they want to increase their earnings.
According to the report, the annual bonus depends on how many miles employees run, walk, or hike every month. Those who cover at least 62 miles per month get a bonus equal to 130% of their monthly salary.
Employees who manage at least 31 miles per month receive a bonus equal to one month’s salary.
To track this properly, the company’s 100 employees log their mileage on a special app. This helps the management monitor progress easily and fairly.
