Peshawar: The Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned all private schools from holding exams during the winter vacation period.
According to an official notification issued on December 26, the authority noticed that some private schools had announced exam schedules during winter holidays, which is a clear violation of the given instructions. PSRA has directed all private schools to immediately cancel any exams planned during this vacation period.
The notification also warned that strict legal action will be taken under the Private Schools Regulatory Authority Act 2017 against schools that fail to follow these orders.
PSRA clearly stated that no private school or institute is allowed to conduct exams during winter holidays. The authority emphasized that all previously issued guidelines must be followed without any exception.
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has already announced winter vacations for both public and private schools.
Schools located in summer zones will remain closed from January 1 to January 15. Educational institutions in winter regions will remain closed from December 22, 2025, to February 28, 2026.
