Field Marshal General Asim Munir’s Bold Speech in Washington Ethics in War and Pakistan’s Strength Revealed

Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir revealed during his powerful speech in Washington that if Pakistan had wanted, it could have shot down 20 Indian jets. However, even during the war, Pakistan chose to act with ethics and set a powerful example. He stated that Pakistan will hold discussions with India on terrorism, and very soon the world will witness major developments, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Tuesday.

Speaking at a large gathering of the Pakistani community in Washington, General Asim Munir touched on several key topics, including Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, terrorism in Pakistan, economic conditions, Pakistan-US relations, and the Iran-Israel conflict.

Addressing around 400 significant community leaders from across the US, he spoke about how India blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam incident and demanded it be declared an act of terrorism. Pakistan clearly responded that movements for freedom in occupied Kashmir could not be called terrorism.

General Munir questioned India’s claims, saying if four people carried out an attack by traveling 250 km through an area guarded by Indian forces at every 10 km, then what were the lakhs of Indian troops doing there? Were those four men Superman? He sarcastically asked if India should not fire its own forces for this failure.

He said that after Pakistan refused to label the incident as terrorism, India issued threats. But Pakistan remained firm and did not back down. After India’s first strike, they contacted Pakistan through the hotline and said they were now ready for talks. Pakistan told them, “We will respond first, and then decide whether we want to talk or not.”

Global leaders also called Pakistan urging restraint, but Pakistan made it clear that it only responded in self-defense and would answer Indian aggression no matter what. Despite international pressure, Pakistan stood strong to defend its honor.

General Munir highlighted the close coordination between the government and military. He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif asked about the possibility of the conflict turning into full-scale war and Pakistan’s readiness. General Munir told him there was a 50/50 chance. Without hesitation, the Prime Minister replied, “Then go ahead, Allah is with us.”

Explaining the reason behind naming the operation “Bunyān al-Marsūs,” General Munir shared how Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu explained the air force’s strong defense during the war. Inspired by this passion and unity, the name was taken from the Quran, meaning “a wall of steel.”

On China’s role in the conflict, he confirmed that Pakistan did use some Chinese equipment, but it was the Pakistani forces who handled it so well that even China would find it hard to match. He shared how India’s systems were hacked, power cut off, dam spillways opened, BJP websites were hacked, and drones reached Gujarat and Delhi.

He recalled a moment when a missile went slightly beyond its range, but still hit an Indian military target. He emphasized that only six Indian jets were shot down those that had fired at Pakistan. He added that 20 Indian jets could have been taken down, but ethics in war were respected.

General Munir explained that this was a five-front war, and Pakistan defeated the enemy on all sides with coordination and strategy. He said India never expected Pakistan struggling with terrorism and economic challenges to respond like this. India thought Pakistan’s forces were trapped on multiple fronts, but didn’t know our system was so well linked.

He declared, “If I’m martyred, my son will stand at the frontlines for this country. Allah helped us, and Pakistan earned global respect.”

General Munir praised the unity of the Pakistani people and said every class of society supported the army like it was a perfectly written script. He avoided taking personal credit for the victory and referred to the event as a miracle, much like the victory of Makkah.

Talking about Kashmir, he mentioned that US President Donald Trump spoke about the issue 13 times, and very soon, the world will witness big changes. He said any talks on terrorism with India will also bring up the 1971 events when India created Mukti Bahini.

General Munir said that the US and India are not on the same page regarding terrorism in Pakistan. India wants to spread terror in Pakistan, while the US opposes such acts.

On Pakistan’s economy, he shared that the US wants to sign a $400–$500 billion deal with Ukraine for rare minerals. Pakistan told them we have over $1 trillion worth of minerals. If the US invests here, it can earn $10–15 billion annually for the next 100 years. Pakistan wants this processing done locally to create jobs.

He predicted that in the next five years, Pakistan will grow fast. By 2047, the 100-year celebration of Pakistan’s creation, we aim to be part of the G10 countries. He also shared plans for partnerships with crypto councils, mining, and artificial intelligence data centers.

He shared memories of a time when Sunni and Shia communities helped each other during religious events and even mentioned how Lahore once saw hippie dance trends. Responding to people calling for “Old Pakistan,” he said we don’t need new or old we just want our Pakistan.

He called brilliant overseas Pakistanis the real “brain gain” and said such talent should keep rising. In the beginning of the event, Pakistan’s ambassador said that India started the war, and while 20 jets were in range, only six were targeted to send a message of peace.

Dr. Ijaz Ahmad, Dr. Parvez Iqbal, Dr. Tariq Ibrahim, Asad Chaudhry, and Nadeem Akhtar also attended the event. Tanveer Ahmad, who had donated $9 million to NUST, was also present and praised as the true hero by General Munir.

Many community members said they had only seen such reports on mainstream and social media and had doubts, but after General Munir’s speech, they now believed how Pakistan defeated India and forced them to stop.

The hall echoed with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad,” “Pak Army Zindabad,” and “Tera Veer Mera Veer – Asim Munir!” as the event turned into a celebration of victory and unity.
