Lahore: Authorities have decided to deport Sarbjit Kaur, an Indian woman who came to Pakistan on a religious visitor visa and later got married.
According to reports, Sarbjit Kaur has already been taken to the Wagah Border for deportation. Her lawyer, Ali Changezi Sandhu, said that she was staying in Pakistan illegally.
He explained that her visa expired in November 2025, and she did not return to India after the expiry date.
It is important to note that the Lahore High Court has asked the authorities to submit a report regarding her case. Former MPA Mahendar Pal Singh had earlier approached the High Court through lawyer Ali Changezi Sandhu.
Sources said that after completing border procedures, Sarbjit Kaur will be handed over to Indian authorities at the Wagah Border.
Sarbjit Kaur came to Pakistan on November 4 along with a group of Sikh pilgrims. Her visa was valid until November 13, but she did not go back to India after that.
Later, she accepted Islam and married a man of her choice. After converting to Islam, her name was changed to Noor Fatima.
Reports say that Sarbjit Kaur first contacted Nasir Hussain on social media in 2016, which later led to their relationship and marriage.
