End of the World in 2026? Scientists Reveal the Real Truth

Scientists have now explained the truth behind viral claims that the world will end in the year 2026. According to old predictions, a German scientist in the 1960s suggested that the world might reach a critical point on Friday, November 13, 2026.

As soon as 2025 came to an end, social media platforms were once again flooded with alarming posts about the so-called “end of the world.” Sensational videos and messages on TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube quickly went viral and caught the attention of millions of users.

Experts say these claims are completely false and have no scientific proof. They explain that most of these rumors are based on outdated theories, environmental concerns, and a few controversial predictions that are taken out of context.

One of the main sources of these claims comes from a population model created by German scientist Heinz von Foerster in the 1960s. His research focused on rapid human population growth and suggested that a critical point could be reached in 2026. However, this was a mathematical projection — not a prediction of the world ending.

Similarly, American environmental scientist Guy McPherson has warned about climate change and human impact on Earth. Some people misunderstood his concerns and wrongly labeled 2026 as a “symbolic ending year.”

Scientists clearly state that there is no scientific evidence to support the idea that the world will end in 2026. However, they admit that real challenges do exist, such as climate change, overpopulation, shortage of resources, technological risks, and rising global tensions.

Psychologists and social scientists believe that repeated sharing of fear-based content on social media has made these rumors spread even faster, creating unnecessary panic among users.

Experts advise people to focus on real environmental issues and trust verified scientific information instead of viral rumors.
