Rawalpindi (December 25, 2025): Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended Christmas celebrations at Christ Church in Rawalpindi, where he joined the Christian community in marking their religious festival.
The Field Marshal congratulated the Christian community on Christmas and shared warm wishes for peace, unity, and prosperity. He said that such occasions reflect the spirit of harmony and brotherhood in Pakistan.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Asim Munir paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and highlighted his vision of equality, freedom, and religious tolerance. He stressed that protecting minority rights is a core principle of Pakistan’s ideology.
During his address, the Field Marshal praised the valuable and long-standing contributions of Pakistani Christians to national development and security. He said that Christians have served with pride and distinction in Pakistan’s Armed Forces across generations.
He also emphasized the importance of interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and national unity. He added that Pakistan’s real strength lies in equal opportunities and shared constitutional values that rise above religion, color, race, and caste.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ strong commitment to protecting the dignity, safety, and equal rights of all citizens as guaranteed by the Constitution of Pakistan.
Christian community leaders thanked the Field Marshal for his presence and appreciated the Armed Forces’ role in promoting national unity, religious harmony, and the protection of the country.
