Islamabad – January 7, 2026: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced new scholarship opportunities for Pakistani students under the Chinese and Shanghai Government Scholarship programs. These scholarships are being offered for the International Elite Pioneer Program 2026 at the world-famous Fudan University in China.
According to the state news agency APP, the program will be taught completely in English at both Master’s and PhD levels.
Available Study Fields
HEC stated that Master’s degree programs include subjects such as Finance, International Business, Big Data, Software Engineering, Chinese Politics, Journalism, and several other disciplines.
PhD programs are being offered in Physics, Biology, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Public Management, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Free Hostel and Monthly Stipend
Students selected under these scholarships will receive full tuition coverage, free accommodation in the university hostel, and a monthly stipend. Master’s students will receive up to 3,000 RMB per month, while PhD students will get up to 3,500 RMB per month. Comprehensive medical insurance will also be provided.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and must have a valid passport.
For Master’s programs, a Bachelor’s degree is required, and for PhD programs, a Master’s degree is mandatory.
To prove English language skills, candidates must have IELTS (6.5 or above), TOEFL, Duolingo, or PTE scores. However, applicants whose previous education was fully in English may be exempted from this requirement.
PhD applicants must also have prior approval from a university supervisor.
Application Process
The last date to apply is February 22, 2026.
