The National Assembly has officially approved the Pakistan Army Act Amendment Bill 2025.
According to ARY News, the National Assembly has also passed the Pakistan Air Force Act Amendment Bill 2025. Along with that, the Pakistan Navy Act Amendment Bill 2025 was also approved.
All three amendment bills were presented for approval by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
The National Assembly also passed the amendment bill related to the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act. The bill was presented by Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar.
The Law Minister said that the term for the Chief of Defence Forces will be five years. This term will start from the date of appointment. He added that the amendments for appointments in the new court have also been approved according to the Constitution.
It is important to mention that earlier, the federal cabinet had already approved the Army Act Amendment Bill. After that, it was presented in the National Assembly, and now it will be presented in the Senate tomorrow for final approval.
