Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, along with the Haramain administration, has announced that more than 13.9 million Umrah rituals were performed during the Islamic month of Jumada Al-Awwal.
According to Saudi media, this number includes all pilgrims coming from inside the country as well as from abroad.
Officials said the figures show the increasing pace of Umrah performance and reflect the strong services and facilities provided to pilgrims throughout their visit.
During the same month, the number of international Umrah pilgrims crossed 1.7 million, arriving from many Muslim and non-Muslim countries.
Reports also highlighted that improved digital systems and better logistic services have made travel, movement, and the performance of rituals much easier for visitors.
This rise in Umrah numbers is part of Saudi Arabia’s continuous efforts to develop the Hajj, Umrah, and Ziyarat system, which supports the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
