Pakistan and the United States hopeful about PSL’s bright future

US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker has said that Pakistan and the United States are working together and are hopeful about the strong success of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to ARY News, Natalie Baker held a joint press conference with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, where she congratulated the Pakistani nation and the PSL. She said that American investment in Pakistan is increasing and that Pakistan offers good opportunities for foreign investors.

Natalie Baker also congratulated Pakistani-American businessman Fawad Sarwar on purchasing the Hyderabad PSL team. She stated that his investment shows growing trust by American investors in Pakistan’s market and sports sector.

She further congratulated Hamza Majid on becoming the owner of another PSL franchise. She added that the involvement of overseas Pakistanis in PSL reflects strong confidence in Pakistan’s economic and sports environment.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that Australian and American companies took part in the bidding process for PSL teams, which proves the league’s rising international value.

Hyderabad franchise owner Fawad Sarwar said that he still feels like he is living a dream. He shared that watching his dream turn into reality is an unforgettable experience.

Sialkot franchise owner Hamza Majid said that he always wanted to do something meaningful for Pakistan. He added that cricket is part of their culture and emotions. He also mentioned that Sialkot already had an airport and airline, and now it proudly has its own PSL cricket team as well.
