Saudi Arabia Provides Jobs to 147,000 People

Saudi Arabia’s Human Resources Development Fund has announced that 147,000 men and women have been given jobs in the country’s tourism sector from 2020 until mid-2025. This was made possible through a successful plan to grow and strengthen the tourism industry.

According to a report by the Saudi news agency, the development fund said that before offering jobs, they launched 19 training programs in different fields. These programs cost about 851 million riyals.

The goal of these training programs was to help more than 8,000 skilled individuals improve their abilities through modern professional training.

The development fund explained that these training efforts were meant to empower the tourism sector. In total, 22 professional courses were also introduced through a digital platform called “Doroob.”

Reports added that the training programs helped increase the employment rate by 75 percent, showing how successful these efforts were.

Under the Saudization program in the tourism industry, the government also supported institutions by paying 50 percent of employees’ salaries, providing 3,000 riyals per worker each month.
