When Will the Second Installment of “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” Loan Be Released? Important Update

Lahore (January 6, 2026): A major update has been announced for people registered under Punjab’s “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” housing scheme introduced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

The scheme was launched in 2024 to help low-income and middle-class families turn their dream of owning a home into reality. Under this program, plots were distributed through a ballot, and the first installment of interest-free loans was already released last year to support house construction.

Now, there is important new news. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the concerned authorities to immediately release the second installment of loans under the “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” project.

She issued these instructions while presiding over a meeting to review development projects across the province. During the meeting, she was informed that construction work on around 700 houses is progressing daily.

The Chief Minister was also briefed that construction and renovation projects worth Rs 204 billion in 52 cities will begin by February 22.

Other ongoing development projects were also reviewed in the meeting.

To ensure proper monitoring, Maryam Nawaz instructed officials to establish a live digital dashboard. She further ordered the completion of the first phase of the Lahore Development Project and directed that the second phase, along with development projects in seven other cities, should be completed by April.
