Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif left for London on Thursday after finishing his official visit to Saudi Arabia. He was seen off at Riyadh Airport by Prince Muhammad bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of Riyadh. This visit was made on the invitation of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman signed a Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This agreement shows the strong commitment of both countries to improve their security and work together for peace in the region and in the world. It focuses on deepening defense cooperation and building a joint system to stop any attack.
The agreement clearly states that any attack on one country will be considered an attack on both countries. This means Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will stand together against any aggression.
On Thursday, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, also confirmed this strong bond between the two nations. He said that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are like one team against any enemy.
On social media platform X, Prince Khalid bin Salman posted: “KSA and Pakistan. One front against any aggressor. Always and forever.”
This announcement came after the signing of the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement on Wednesday between Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The agreement again made it clear that an attack on either country will be treated as an attack on both.
