To make matters easier for public convenience and reduce traffic issues at offices, Lahore’s City Traffic Police has added a license service at 44 locations throughout the city. The goal of the initiative is to simplify and speed up the actions of getting, renewing, and updating driving licenses for all citizens.
Earlier, people had to travel to only a few centers, often spending much time waiting in queues. The 44 service points make it easier for residents because they can now get their permits, renew their licenses, request duplicates, and verify documents close to where they live.
As per the police, the locations of the new service points were carefully chosen to help citizens everywhere in and around Lahore. Center police stations, mobile service vans, and special counters are set up at malls and schools.
The initiative supports the Punjab government’s wider strategy for improving digital and service delivery. The authorities want to spread out licensing services to help relieve pressure on main licensing centers and to make sure the public is more satisfied with government services.
