Arshad Nadeem Shines, Reaches Javelin Final in Asian Athletics Championships

Powerful javelin throws in the initial round by Arshad Nadeem have earned him a spot in the 2025 Asian Championships men’s javelin final.
Starting the tournament in Gumi, South Korea, the Olympic champion got off to a quick start. Jonathan-Nathan won the final place in the qualifying round and now stands at the top of the list for the final, to be held on May 31.
Rumseh Tharanga Pathirage from Sri Lanka qualified second and threw 83.71 meters, while Yuta Sakiyama from Japan qualified third with a throw of 81.36 meters.
Arshad’s qualification was not just expected, but was clearly stated. Since becoming a national icon recently, his latest game shows his stable and outstanding performance. He hopes to expand his list of titles by adding the Asian title to it.
Still, Arshad Nadeem will have competition in the javelin final from another Pakistani athlete. Yasir Muhammad will meet his Pakistani teammate in the final after working hard to scrape through to this stage.
On May 31, all the attention will be on Arshad, the defending Asian Athlete of the Year, as he returns to play. Fans from Pakistan will be hoping their champion can once again stand tall and add another special victory to his career.
Arshad Nadeem has already left his mark on Pakistani athletics, regardless of the results from his competition. But with this type of play, he could have a lot more to give.
