Save Our Pak
After the 2025–26 budget was presented in the National Assembly, government employees came out in protest. They started their demonstration outside the Secretariat Gate in Islamabad. PML-N leader Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also arrived at the protest site to speak with the workers, Reported by Save Our Pak News Channal.
While addressing the crowd, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that he came right after the assembly session ended to meet them as soon as possible. He welcomed all government employees who had come from other provinces to Islamabad and assured them that their rights would be protected. He told them that the government had already accepted their valid demands.
He appreciated the peaceful way in which employee unions raised their voices. He mentioned that he had requested the Prime Minister to listen to the concerns raised by the committee formed earlier. The Prime Minister carefully listened to all the suggestions and demands. These demands were also discussed with the Finance Minister and the Secretary of Finance. The government promises that all fair demands will be accepted.
Dr. Tariq said that talks between the government and the employee unions are ongoing and will continue. He claimed that more than 80% of their demands had already been accepted. He added that Rehman Bajwa will explain which demands were accepted and which are still pending. He assured that the remaining 10% of demands will also be resolved soon.
For the demands related to Punjab, Dr. Tariq said that Rana Sanaullah is heading the committee looking into those, and the demands have already been presented to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He said that a solution will be found quickly.
Talking about the IMF, he said this would be the last agreement with the fund, and Pakistan is working hard to become financially independent so no more deals are needed. While speaking emotionally, he said that in the war with India, Pakistan showed great bravery. India started the fight, but Pakistan gave a powerful response. Our air force flew in with strength and returned after raising the flag of victory.
He further said that in the Pakistan-India war, all political parties stood united with the army. The whole world now recognizes Pakistan as a great nation. He ended by saying that the problems of government employees are also the problems of the government.
