Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Navy has successfully carried out a test of a modern surface-to-air missile in the northern Arabian Sea.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Navy conducted a live firing of the FM-90 (N) ER surface-to-air missile. The test showed the Navy’s strong firepower and operational readiness in maritime defense.
ISPR said the main purpose of the missile test was to demonstrate the Pakistan Navy’s combat preparedness and advanced warfare capabilities in a real operational environment.
During the exercise, a Pakistan Navy warship successfully engaged fast-moving and highly maneuverable aerial targets. The test confirmed the Navy’s effective air defense system and highlighted its modern combat strength through live weapon firing.
Commander Pakistan Fleet, Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb, observed the missile firing demonstration.
He praised the officers and sailors involved for their high level of professionalism, training, and dedication. Rear Admiral Abdul Muneeb also reaffirmed the Navy’s strong commitment to ensuring national maritime defense at all times.
He stated that the Pakistan Navy remains fully prepared to protect Pakistan’s sea borders and safeguard national maritime interests under all circumstances.
According to ISPR, this successful missile test clearly reflects the Pakistan Navy’s strong defensive capabilities and professional preparedness, especially in view of the changing regional security situation.
