January 29, 2026: Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, good news has arrived for shoppers. The Ministry of Commerce has announced the launch of a Ramadan Discount Sale Program under its supervision.
According to Akhbar 24, the announcement was made by the Saudi Ministry of Commerce. Under this program, discount sales will begin from February 1, 2026, across commercial outlets and online stores.
The Ramadan sale program will continue for 54 days, including the Eid shopping season, and will end on March 26. During this period, citizens will be able to purchase quality products at reduced prices for both Ramadan and Eid.
The Ministry has instructed all commercial businesses to apply for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) through the official ministry portal. This process will ensure that only approved stores receive official permits to offer discounts. Barcodes will be issued only to outlets that are offering genuine sales.
This special initiative has been introduced to protect consumers and to eliminate fake discount offers. The goal is to provide shoppers with accurate information about real price reductions.
Consumers have also been advised to scan the barcode before purchasing to confirm that the sale is authentic and to stay safe from misleading promotions.
