Decision Final: Pakistan Will Not Play Against India in T20 World Cup

The Government of Pakistan has clearly stated that Pakistan will take part in the T20 World Cup, but the national team will not play any match against India during the tournament.

According to ARY News, an important announcement has been made regarding Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup. A meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has concluded, during which it was decided that Pakistan will participate in the T20 World Cup.

The government confirmed that while Pakistan will compete in the T20 World Cup, it will not face India in any match of the tournament.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore, where detailed discussions were held about Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup. After thorough consultation, the decision was finalized.

During the meeting, both sides agreed that Pakistan should take part in the T20 World Cup. The Government of Pakistan has officially approved the national cricket team’s participation in the ICC T20 World Cup.

However, in an official statement shared by the government, it was made clear that Pakistan will not play against India in the ICC T20 World Cup.

The government further stated that the Pakistan cricket team will not play the scheduled match against India on February 15, 2026. Pakistan will participate in the T20 World Cup, but the match against India will not take place.
