Lahore: A new welfare program called “Maryam Ko Batayein” has been introduced, revealing a simple method for deserving individuals to receive up to Rs10,000 within 24 hours.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the launch of this program to provide immediate financial support to people facing economic hardship during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that the program will officially begin on the 1st of Ramadan. Under this initiative, eligible individuals will be able to receive financial assistance quickly, helping them manage essential expenses during the holy month.
How to Apply for Financial Aid?
- A dedicated helpline, 1000, will become active starting from the 1st of Ramadan.
- Deserving individuals can call the helpline to submit their requests.
- Applications can also be completed through an online web portal or mobile app by providing a valid CNIC number.
According to the Chief Minister, people who are already registered in the PSER system will receive financial aid within 24 hours. Those who are not yet registered will go through a verification process, which is expected to be completed within four days before assistance is provided.
When Will Ramadan 2026 Begin?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and is considered a time of fasting, prayer, and spiritual growth. If the month of Sha’ban lasts 29 days, Ramadan in Pakistan is expected to begin on February 19, 2026. If Sha’ban completes 30 days, the first fast will likely be observed on February 20. The final date will be officially announced by the moon-sighting committee.
