Karachi Kings have confirmed that Australian star batter David Warner will continue to lead the team in the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11.
The franchise officially announced the decision and said keeping Warner as captain shows the strong confidence the team management has in his leadership and cricketing abilities.
It is worth mentioning that during the PSL 11 player auction, Karachi Kings once again selected David Warner as part of their squad. The management had already shown clear interest in bringing the experienced Australian player back to the team.
After the auction ceremony, Karachi Kings’ Team Director Haider Azhar said he was satisfied with the 18-member squad formed for the new season.
Haider Azhar explained that David Warner was always their top priority during the auction. He said the management had already decided that they would go to any extent to secure Warner for the team.
He also shared that the franchise is very happy to include Salman Ali Agha and Adam Zampa in the squad. At the same time, the team is pleased to welcome local players Azam Khan and Mir Hamza, who both belong to Karachi.
The management believes that the combination of experienced international players and talented local cricketers will help Karachi Kings perform strongly in PSL 11.
