Will There Be a Public Holiday on Juma-tul-Wida? Major Announcement Made

Karachi: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on the occasion of Juma-tul-Wida, the last Friday of Ramadan. At the same time, it has also decided to name one of Karachi’s main roads after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to official details, the Sindh government declared that the last Friday of Ramadan will be observed as a public holiday across the province.

Sindh’s Minister for Local Government, Nasir Hussain Shah, confirmed the decision. He said the provincial government has also decided to dedicate one of Karachi’s important highways to the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

He explained that this step is being taken to recognize Ayatollah Khamenei’s contributions at the international level.

Speaking about rallies and security arrangements, the minister said that according to court orders, no rallies will be allowed on Shahrah-e-Faisal. He said large gatherings on this busy road create serious traffic problems and difficulties for the public.

Nasir Hussain Shah also requested all Shia organizations to take out Youm-e-Quds rallies only on their traditional and already approved routes. He said this will help maintain peace, discipline, and smooth traffic flow in the city.
