Dubai (March 27, 2026): The expected dates for Eid ul Adha holidays in the United Arab Emirates have been revealed.
According to reports by Gulf News, Eid ul Adha 2026 is approaching, and it is expected to bring one of the longest public holiday breaks of the year in the UAE. Residents are likely to enjoy an extended time off during this period.
Eid ul Adha is the second major Islamic festival and takes place in the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar, known as Dhul Hijjah. It is also called the “Festival of Sacrifice” and is observed to remember the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah.
Based on astronomical predictions, the holidays in the UAE are expected to begin on Tuesday, May 26, with the Day of Arafah. Eid ul Adha holidays will then continue from Wednesday, May 27, to Friday, May 29.
When combined with the regular weekend (Saturday and Sunday), the total break could extend up to six days. However, the final dates will be confirmed after the official moon sighting.
