Prayers of those who wage war are not accepted, says Pope Leo

In Vatican City, the spiritual leader of Catholic Christians, Pope Leo, said that wars carried out in the name of God are completely unacceptable. He clearly stated that the prayers of those who take part in war are not accepted.

According to international media reports, Pope Leo shared these views while addressing a Palm Sunday gathering at Saint Peter’s Square. He said that people who try to justify war in the name of religion are actually going against the basic values of humanity.

He strongly emphasized that religion should never be used to support violence or destruction. Instead, it should guide people toward peace and unity.

During his speech, Pope Leo urged all sides involved in ongoing conflicts to immediately stop fighting and choose dialogue instead. He said that real solutions come through discussion and peace—not through force and weapons.

It is important to note that in the current tensions involving Iran and other countries, some leaders are trying to defend their actions using religious reasons. This has started a global debate on the misuse of religion in conflicts.

Pope Leo also called on major countries like United States, Israel, and Iran to move toward a ceasefire and reduce tensions.

Experts believe that Pope Leo’s statement reflects a strong moral position. It highlights the need to use religion for promoting peace, understanding, and harmony rather than war and conflict.
