Talks with Iran in Islamabad Not a Failure, Says JD Vance

US Vice President JD Vance has said that the ongoing talks with Iran in Islamabad were not a complete failure. However, he added that Iran’s actions were still not enough to satisfy Washington.

While speaking to Fox News, Vance explained that Iran showed some progress during the negotiations. But he clearly stated that the main condition remains the same — Iran must fully stop its uranium enrichment program.

He said the United States has made its “red line” very clear during the talks. According to him, Iran must avoid any attempt to develop nuclear weapons. He also mentioned that Tehran has been informed about the condition to remove nuclear material from its country.

Vance further shared that there has been some important progress in the discussions. However, he said that the next step now depends on Iran’s response. He added that the future of these talks will be decided by how Tehran moves forward.

The US Vice President also said that Iran’s current actions are not enough to bring stability to the region. He expressed serious concerns about Iran’s nuclear program and even accused the country of being involved in “economic terrorism.”

At the same time, he showed hope that Iran will take steps to improve the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and help reduce tensions in the region.

It is important to note that preparations for the second round of US-Iran talks are speeding up with Pakistan’s mediation. Sources say that the next round is likely to be held again in Islamabad. However, other options like Oman or another Middle Eastern country are also being considered.
