Iran Refuses Talks with US, Says No Plans to Negotiate with Washington

Iran has refused to continue negotiations with the United States, saying it has no intention of holding talks with Washington at this time.

In Tehran, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said during a press conference that there are no plans for a new round of negotiations with the United States. He added that under the current situation, talks are not possible, as the US has not learned from past mistakes and its policies have not changed.

According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the continuation of US mistakes could create more danger for the region. The spokesperson said that wrong policies can never bring positive results and are instead increasing tensions.

He further stated that US actions are causing more crisis instead of stability. He also criticized American media for giving mixed messages, while Iran has maintained a clear and consistent position. He said Iran’s conditions are based on logic, but some media reports are not connected to reality.

Baghaei said the US cannot be trusted, as it continues to rely on unrealistic demands. He pointed out that in the past, the US has taken actions against agreements and violated commitments. He also claimed that the US broke the ceasefire by continuing a naval blockade, showing a lack of interest in diplomacy. In response, Iran will continue to protect its national interests.

He added that Iran will not sacrifice its national interests under pressure from any country. Pakistan has been informed about US violations of the ceasefire, and he appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting peace. He also claimed that the US used bases in neighboring countries to carry out actions against Iran.

The spokesperson said that Iran had presented a 10-point proposal, which was discussed during talks in Islamabad. However, the US refused to include the Lebanon ceasefire as part of the agreement and increased tensions by enforcing a naval blockade. He also said that an attack on an Iranian ship violated international law and the ceasefire agreement.

He added that Iran had opened the Strait of Hormuz based on the Lebanon ceasefire, but later observed several actions from the US that showed a lack of seriousness toward peace.

The spokesperson made it clear that there will be no compromise on national security. He said Iran’s armed forces are fully ready to respond strongly to any attack.

He also mentioned that the US has been making many claims in the media about the transfer of enriched uranium, but during negotiations, it never actually discussed this issue.

In the end, Baghaei said that Iran’s enemies do not want to see its progress in science and technology. He stressed that, like other nations, the people of Iran have the right to grow in scientific fields. He also claimed that attacks on educational institutions were aimed at stopping Iran’s development.
