China has issued an important statement regarding the extension of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
In Beijing, the Chinese government said it supports efforts to resolve conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy. According to an international news report, a spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry stated that the current regional situation remains very sensitive and fragile.
The spokesperson added that preventing the return of conflict is the top priority at this stage. China emphasized that all sides should work together to maintain peace and avoid further tension.
It is worth noting that former US President Donald Trump had earlier announced that the ceasefire with Iran would be extended for an unlimited period. The aim of this extension was to provide more time for peace talks.
However, Tehran has rejected the conditions set by the United States for dialogue. Iranian officials stated that the extension of the ceasefire was announced unilaterally by Trump without mutual agreement.
