A major corruption scandal has been revealed in exam boards across Sindh, where thousands of students’ results were allegedly changed in exchange for large amounts of money.
According to reports from Save our Pak, the Anti-Corruption Establishment has expanded its investigation into serious irregularities found in the Mirpurkhas Board of Education. Officials believe that records were manipulated and results were altered on a large scale.
The Anti-Corruption department has now widened the inquiry and issued notices to officials from multiple education boards, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, and Nawabshah. These officials have been asked to appear on April 30 with complete records.
Investigators revealed that in the Nawabshah board alone, results of nearly 90,000 students were changed. Similar large-scale tampering was also reported in the Hyderabad board.
Authorities further stated that corruption was not limited to one region. In Sukkur and Larkana boards, students’ results were allegedly modified after taking heavy payments. The Karachi board also showed signs of major manipulation in exam results.
Anti-Corruption officials have directed all chairmen and controllers of these boards to appear before them with proper documentation. They warned that more shocking details may come out as the investigation continues.
