Islamabad: False and misleading rumors are being spread on social media regarding the online protector certificate, also known as the E-Protector. Officials have now clarified the situation to remove public confusion.
According to the clarification, the online protector (E-Protector) certificate is not a compulsory requirement for overseas employment. It is simply an online facility introduced to help citizens complete the protector process from home without facing unnecessary difficulties.
People who use the online protector service receive a certificate through email after completing the process.
This certificate is only needed for those who apply online because their passports do not contain a protector stamp or sticker. At the airport, they may be asked to show the emailed certificate as proof.
On the other hand, individuals who personally visit the protector office receive an official protector stamp or sticker on their passport. Airport authorities check this stamp directly, so such travelers do not need any online protector certificate.
Officials urged the public not to trust fake information being shared online and to rely only on official sources for updates.
