Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called the $2.1 billion annual current account surplus a “historic milestone” for Pakistan’s economy. In his statement, the Prime Minister said this is the first time in 14 years that Pakistan has achieved a surplus on an annual basis, and it is the biggest surplus in the last 22 years, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel on Saturday.
He thanked Allah and explained that this success was possible because of record remittances, growth in exports, and continuous focus on economic reforms. According to him, this achievement shows the trust of overseas Pakistanis and the hard work of the country’s economic team.
The Prime Minister also praised the economic team for their dedication and effective strategy, saying this progress would not have been possible without their hard work.
Economic experts believe this improvement in Pakistan’s economy is a positive sign globally, and if this trend continues, more stability is expected in the coming financial years.
