Peshawar (October 8, 2025): After the decision to remove him from the position of Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur has given an important statement.
Talking to ARY News, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, said that he had already made it clear that the position of Chief Minister is a trust from the party leader. He added, “Whenever I am asked to leave this post, I will follow that order.”
Ali Amin Gandapur also said that he has not yet received any official notice about this decision. He mentioned that a meeting with the PTI founder is currently happening at Adiala Jail, where party leaders are discussing the matter. After the meeting, the situation will become clear.
According to reports, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to remove Ali Amin Gandapur from the post of Chief Minister, and Sohail Afridi is expected to be appointed as the new Chief Minister.
Sources said that during the meeting in Adiala Jail, the PTI founder gave instructions to party leaders and lawyers regarding the decision. Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Rai Suleman, confirmed the decision to remove Ali Amin Gandapur and officially informed him about it.
Sources further claimed that Sohail Afridi is the top choice for the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He belongs to the Khyber district, which was merged from the former FATA region into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
