The World Athletics Federation has released the new rankings for javelin throwers, and Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem is placed at 4th position with 1,370 points, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Saturday.
This year, after the Paris Olympics, Arshad only took part in one event, which was the Asian Athletics Championship, where he won a gold medal. However, due to not participating in more ranking events, his position could not improve further.
Before the World Championship in September, Arshad is expected to take part in two or three events. If he performs well, there’s hope that his ranking will go higher this year.
On the other hand, India’s Neeraj Chopra has taken the 1st position by passing Grenada’s Anderson Peters. Neeraj now holds 1,445 points.
Anderson Peters from Grenada is now ranked second with 1,431 points, while Julian Weber from Germany stands at third place with 1,407 points.
