Islamabad (14 December 2025): Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has shared an interesting conversation involving former Army Chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and former DG ISI Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed.
While speaking in an interview, Rana Sanaullah said that during a briefing, he had a conversation with General Bajwa and Faiz Hameed. According to him, General Bajwa jokingly said, “Rana, you have gained a lot of weight. You looked much smarter when you were in jail.”
Rana Sanaullah added that General Bajwa then turned to Faiz Hameed and said, “Faiz, make Rana sahib smart again.” He said that in response, he told General Bajwa that the case against him was made during his tenure and that God would hold everyone accountable in this world.
The PML-N leader further said it is impossible for a serving officer to register a case without the approval of the Army Chief. He added that if any officer did such an act without permission, they would face court-martial the very next day.
Meanwhile, after the sentencing of former DG ISI Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, speculation has started in some political and media circles about possible legal action against former Army Chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.
However, well-informed sources have rejected these claims. They stated clearly that no investigation is underway against General Bajwa, nor is any legal action currently being considered.
