China said on Wednesday that almost 800 Chinese citizens have been safely taken out of Iran after Israel started military attacks against the country last week, as Reported By Save Our Pak News Channel On Wednesday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun shared this update during a regular press meeting. He said, “Right now, 791 Chinese nationals have been moved from Iran to safe places.”
He also added that more than 1,000 other Chinese people are in the process of leaving Iran and moving to safer areas. Some Chinese citizens have also successfully left Israel.
Guo thanked the countries that helped them. “China is grateful to the countries that gave full support and assistance,” he said.
Meanwhile, on early Wednesday, Iran said it fired hypersonic missiles at Israel during overnight strikes. This happened just hours after Donald Trump demanded Iran’s full surrender.
Trump, who is the President of the United States, said that the US is not involved in Israel’s bombing campaign. But he warned Iran that his patience is running out as the war has now entered its sixth day.
Many world powers are trying hard to stop this fight from turning into a bigger war that could affect the whole region. They are looking for peaceful solutions.
Trump added more fuel to the situation when he suddenly left the G7 summit in Canada, where top world leaders had jointly called for an end to the fighting.
Back in Washington on Tuesday, Trump again asked for Iran’s unconditional surrender. He even claimed that the US could easily kill Iran’s top leader if it wanted to.
China’s spokesman Guo warned, “More fighting in the Middle East is bad for everyone.” While not naming the US directly, he said, “Countries that influence Israel should stay fair and responsible. They need to help calm things down and play a positive role.”
